A safe, minimal first request
Share only what is needed.
Share only the information needed to arrange a first conversation, and tell us which reply methods are safe for you. Consultation times are coordinated privately.
A minimal first request
You do not need to share your whole story.
Please share only what is needed to arrange a consultation: a name, timezone, possible meeting times, and a safe way to reply. Do not send detailed trauma histories, medical or legal records, or urgent safety information through the website.
Email is the default first-contact method. Choose separately whether HSC may call, text, leave a voicemail, or use a neutral sender name or subject line. No other method is assumed.
- Immediate danger or medical emergency in the United States: Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
- Suicide, mental-health, or substance-use crisis in the United States: Call or text 988 or visit 988 Lifeline.
- Relationship-abuse support in the United States: Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233), text START to 88788, or visit Get Help.
- Outside the United States: For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Find domestic- and sexual-violence services through the NO MORE Global Directory, or emotional-crisis and suicide helplines through Find A Helpline.
